Ten liściasty krzew rozrasta się za pomocą rozłogów; dorasta do 50-100 cm. Jest dekoracyjny z niebieskawozielonych liści i pachnących kwiatów, zwykle białoróżowych pojawiających się w połowie kwietnia, ale często też powtarza kwitnienie późnym latem.
