Dzika... Róża czteropłatkowa forma oskrzydlona Rosa omeiensis v. pteracantha Rosa sericea
Ciekawa odmiana dzikiej róży wyróżniająca się oryginalnymi pędami ozdobionymi dużymi, płaskimi, koralowoczerwonymi kolcami i białymi kwiatami. Pochodzi z Chin, gdzie naturalnie rośnie w górach na wysokośći 2000-4000 m.n.p.m.
To krzew o wzniesionym pokroju dorastający do 2-3 m wysokości o silnych, łukowato przewisających pędach ozdobionych czerwonymi kolcami, często wykorzystywanymi jako zieleń cięta. Młode pędy mają barwę szarozieloną, czerwonawo nabiegłą, często pokryte są włoskami. Liście nieparzystozłożone, zielone. 4-płatkowe, delikatnie pachnące, białe kwiaty z żółtym środkiem rozwijają się w maju; mają średnicę 3-5 cm.
Po kwitnieniu zawiązują się dekoracyjne, czerwone owoce, które są przysmakiem dla ptaków.
Róża bardzo rzadko spotykana, warto ją posiadać w swoim ogrodzie. Nadaje się doskonale na nieformowane żywopłoty w ogrodach naturalnych, leśnych i rustykalnych.
Rady ogrodnika: Lubi stanowiska słoneczne. Nie ma wymagań co do gleby. Bardzo odporna na mróz, nawet do -34'C.
